Yes it's possible to secure a seat in NIT warangal as per your rank. The distribution of the branches as per general category for 12k rank as per 2017 allotment are as follows:

under home state quota: Mechanical engineering, Civil Engineering , Chemical Engineering , Metallergicals and materials engineering and bio-technology.

under other state quota: Civil engineering , Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials engineering and Bio-technology.

Certainly with this rank you can easily able to get a seat in the institute however you might not able to get the core branches like CSE ECE but as per the cut offs if 2017 the mechanical and civil have the closing rank around 12k for general category and for chemical engineering it is around 18k but only if you belong to home state for other state you might not get mechanical branch.
