Hello Shankar,
Well to qualify for JEE Advance, you have to first qualify JEE Main as per your category. Once you have qualified the required cutoff for JEE Main, then you are eligible to appear for JEE Advance. Below I have provided 2019 JEE Main cutoff (percentile) category wise -
Since, you are a general category candidate so your required cutoff is 89.75 percentile. If you have achieved that much then you can sit for JEE Advance. Also, if you are qualified then you are eligible to get a seat in NITs,IIITs or GFTIs. Admission to these institutes whether NITs or IITs , will be done through JoSAA counselling. For other colleges that accepts JEE Main score but doesn't participate in JoSAA counselling, for them you have to attend their respective counselling sessions.
You can go through this link and checkout the details about JoSAA counselling : https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/josaa-counselling
