I got 155 marks on 29 June shift 2 what to do now I have to continue with advance preparation or go for a second attempt with advanced preparation as I wanted iit ??
hello aspirant,
Since you have not mentioned your category, i am considering you as a GENERAL Category student. Looking at the previous year JEE mains Cutoff, yes, you can go for JEE advance preparation because you can qualify the JEE mains examination with 155 marks. However, 155 marks are not sufficient enough for General category student to get top NIT's in Inda, but nevertheless, you will qualify for the JEE advance.
Further, the above was still a prediction. The actual marks for the JEE mains For various category may vary.
Furthermore, looking at the previous year cutoff for 2021, teh jee mains cutoff for different categories is given below :
EWS ---------87.8950071
OBC-NCl -----------68.0234447
SC-------------46.8825338
St-----------34.6728999
Further, to know more about jee mains cutoff trends you can follow the below mentioned link : https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff
To know more about your chances of admission in other colleges, follow the below mentioned College predictor tool :
I hope that this will help.
Hello Aspirant,
Let me give all your answers in sequence ;-
So If we go through the analysis of marks Vs Percentile Vs rank for JEE-Main 2021 then according to the marks mentioned by you in the question your percentile is
>>>>>>>> expected to be in the range of 97.78 - 98.84 .
You can also use JEE-Main Rank Predictor to predict your rank and percentile :-
Note that the percentile which is predicted is only the expected percentile on the basis of previous year's data so your actual percentile might vary depending upon current factors.
On such percentile range you have very good chances to qualify for JEE-Advance 2022 but still the cutoffs for this year have not released yet officially.
As the cut-offs are released along with the JEE-Main 2022 result so for now you can get an idea from JEE-Main 2021 qualifying cut-offs that are enlisted below :-
==>> Common Rank List (CRL) - 87.8992241-100.0000000 Percentile
==>> GEN-EWS - 66.2214845-87.8950071 Percentile
==>> Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 68.0234447-87.8950071 Percentile
==>> Scheduled Caste (SC) - 46.8825338-87.8950071 Percentile
==>> Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 34.6728999 87.8474721 Percentile
==>> PwD - 0.0096375-87.8273359 Percentile
Note that in above table it is not the actual cut-off for JEE-Main 2022 but previous year's cut-off.
You can check out previous year's cut-off trends from the link given below :-

So I would recommend you to start preparing for JEE-Advance because admission to IIT will be done only on the basis of JEE-Advance rank, so crack it with good rank.
