In this rank there is chance for taking admission in a Gfti of 27Gftis in India.The Gfti is the government funded Institute of Technology.The fees of GFTIs are.very low cost of fees to continue the student education in Engineering courses.

A sc candidate should get category sc rank within 5k to get admission in top NITs. This is based on previous year pattern. With 16k sc category rank you have less chance of getting admission in nit, gift. But you have a good chance of getting admission in private engineering colleges.
