In my opinion u can get a gen rank of 10 to 15k. There is a chance to get cse in suratkal if it is your home state. But i don't think it is possible for you to get cse in other top nits. Still there are spot rounds and there is some chance for you if you are very lucky.

It depends on your rank rather than your score if you can get into an NIT. The marks vs rank keeps changing each year along with the cutoff due to various factors like difficulty level of the exam and the average score of students etc. You could use the rank predictor to get an accurate estimate of your rank:

Yeah you have the good chances to take over the CSE branch at NIT Surathkal with this much of score but as per now you can't be assured that because till now the cuttoff has not been declared by the authorities for various categories which is going to be released in the end of this month . But anyways you can also use the Career's 360 predictor or the previous year cuttoff ranges through which you can get the overall analysis about the NIT Surathkal.

The cut off ranks of JEE mains 2018 for Computer Science course at NIT ,Suratkal for different categories are as follows:
General: 306 to 5173
OBC: 641 to 3723
SC: 506 to 2312
ST: 79 to 356
There is the possibility that cut off ranks would be in this range for this year too as they are not declared yet for academic year 2019.
So if your JEE main rank fits in this range for your category then you are eligible for above institute.
