Hello,
As you have mentioned that your neet score is 256 marks but you haven't mentioned your category in which you fall. Nevertheless, with 256 marks your chances to get any government or private medical college for mbbs is almost negligible. You cannot get a seat for any college neither under 85% state quota nor under 15% All India Quota. You might have scored 560+ to get a seat in government medical colleges and 480+ to get a seat in private medical colleges.
I advise you to work hard and try it again the next year!!
