Hello Aparna,
408 is a decent score, and if go by the last year's cutoff marks of Tamil nadu under state qouta, then you will easily  be able to get all the government medical colleges.
  • The cutoff of few government medical college in your state under state qouta last were
  • Kanyakumari govt medical college- 267 marks
  • Madras medical college- 380 marks
  • Stanley medical college- 347 marks
  • Madurai medical college- 326 marks
  • Coimbatore medical college- 329 marks
The cutoff vary every year, and owing to that a seat can't guaranted to you.
I hope this helps.
All the best for the future!!

hey Aparna, seeing this year's cutoff which went very high that even the stundents getting 500 were worried about their colleges. So ,with this score being an sc candidate you have good chances of getting an mbbs seat in state quota cutoff ,although you won't get a topnotch college but you will get decent govement college for sure.
