Hello aspirant,

According to your rank in TANCET and your category, you will surely get seat in MIT or any other government colleges.

The cut off mark will vary each year depending on factors like -

  • How hard the question paper is.
  • The total number of applicants attending the entrance exam, etc.

For TANCET 2015 the cutoff was 45.33 but for 2017 it was somewhere around 28. This was because the question paper was much harder and students scored lesser marks.

It also depends on which quota you belong to. The cut of mark for candidates in SC/ST and other backward communities is lower when compared to Open Category students.

For example, an OC candidate with 45 score in TANCET may not get admission because the OC quota is full. Whereas, a candidate belonging to SC could get admission even if his/her score is 40, provided that vacant seat to the quota is available.

Hope this will be helpful..
