With your rank you'll get mechanical engineering in some top IITs.

Congratulations. With this rank you have chances of getting a seat in IITs. Since many IITs are ranked below top NITs, so your decision should not be wholly dependent on tag 'IIT' . Check the rankings of the colleges, and then the syllabus of the branches you have chances of getting and the branch you are interested in.
