Dear aspirant

You haven't mentioned your category I'll assume you belong to Gen category.

You have scored very good marks in NEET UG exam.

At your expected it's sure that you will grab a govt medical College seat in both all india quota counseling and state quota counseling also.

So you should choose the best Medical college at your rank when result get declared and start studying MBBS.

By dropping you will waste a whole year and also that's doesn't give you guarantee that you will be scoring higher than this, even if you are able to score some 20-30 marks more than also things will remain same, you will get same range of medical colleges but you will waste one year behind that.

Begin a career in Medical and Allied Sciences. Admissions Open for

Apply to JSS University Mysore 2025

This one precious year you can go behind your NEET-PG preparation and to get better college than, because Post graduation will much more difference than the under graduate college.

So from my suggestion you should take a govt medical College according to your comfortablity and start studying MBBS instead of taking drop.

Hello Aspirant

590+ marks in NEET is a good score and can get you a seat in the top colleges of the state through the state quota. 480+ is a marginal score that will help you to get through the State quota . Less than this students can either get admission to private medical colleges or can think about a Drop.

So, according to me, with 614 marks, it is more feasible to take a good medial college rather than a Drop.

Thanks

Hello aspirant,
First of all congratulations for your score. At this score , there is no point of taking a drop. You'll easily get a government MBBS seat at this score through AIQ and state quota (even if you belong to high cutoff state- such as Rajasthan, Bihar and UP)
