Hello Sneha..!
You have a very good marks in your first attempt 198/360.
But when it comes percentile 80 is not that much good.
So, you should make yourself competative for your next exam.
You did'nt mention your second attempt result. So, I am going with first attempt result as your final result.
If you have any reservations, you may get into some NIT with some branch under home state quota or with somethong else.
But you should make your day with your interest.
If you have any particular interest, go for it.
Else, accept. whatever you get.
If your interesting branch is not getting in NITs then go for private universites which offer your interested barnch. Don't compromise yourself with your branch.
Be unique in your way...
All the best....
Hello Sneha
With this percentile score it is difficult to get admission in good college ( nit or IIIT ) with core branch .
There is chances that you will get low ranked nits ( but not much helpful in future ).
Better to take admission in state government colleges or in private colleges ( like dcrust ; cu ; cgc ; Thapar ; uiet kurukshetra etc )
Good luck
