your score in class 12 is really good. see its your choices to make. if this year your jee main score is not that good and you are really pasionate about engineering and iit is a dream for you then you can take one year gap. one year gap is not makee any big impact of your career.

but remember you need to study hard and always need to stay motivated.

The required percentage for 12th class to qualify for JEE adnaved is 75%. Since you have scored 83.4% you are eligible. You need to score percentile of 94 and above in JEE Mains to get a good seat in NIT colleges and to qualify for JEE advanced.
