I got 84.5 percentile in jee paper 2, can i get admission in Nit b arch course?
Hello Bhagyashri,
To get colleges like NITs through JEE Main score, you have to first clear the cutoff as per your category. Below I have provided 2019 JEE Main cutoff (percentile) category wise -
- CRL : 89.75
- GEN-EWS : 78.21
- OBC-NCL : 74.31
- SC : 54.01
- ST : 44.33
- PwD : 0.11
So if you have cleared the cutoff as per your category then you are eligible to get a seat in NITs. Below I have provided the previous year cutoff for all the NITs offering B.Arch course -
- NIT Jaipur : 2401 (Home State), 1263 (Other State)
- NIT Bhopal : 3235 (Home State), 1629 (Other State)
- NIT Calicut : 1141 (Home State), 1323 (Other State)
- NIT Hamirpur : 11202 (Home State), 1902 (Other State)
- NIT Patna : 4151 (Home State), 2092 (Other State)
- NIT Raipur : 8689 (Home State), 1977 (Other State)
- NIT Rourkella : 2005 (Home State), 1469 (Other State)
- NIT Tiruchirapalli : 1550 (Home State), 670 (Other State)
- NIT Nagpur : 1513 (Home State), 1578 (Other State)
Note : The above mentioned cutoff is for general category.
Now to get NITs, you have to attend the JoSAA counselling process. Better attend the counselling and see which colleges are you getting for B.Arch .
You can go through this link and check out the detailed cutoff for all the categories for B.Arch in NITs : https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-b-arch-b-planning
