Hello,

With a 90 percentile in the JEE Mains 2025, your chances of securing a seat in prestigious colleges like JNTU Hyderabad (JNTUH) or VNR VJIET (Vallurupalli Nageswara Rao Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering & Technology) depend on several factors such as your category (General, OBC, SC, ST, etc.), the specific branch you are targeting, and the annual cutoffs for these colleges.

For JNTUH , being one of the top engineering colleges in Telangana, the competition is fierce. Typically, for a general category student, the cutoff ranks for popular branches like Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) or Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) are much lower (i.e., require a higher percentile, often above 97-98). However, for less competitive branches, a 90 percentile may give you a chance, especially if you belong to a reserved category.

In the case of VNR VJIET , the cutoffs are slightly more lenient compared to JNTUH but still competitive. A 90 percentile might give you a fair chance of securing a seat, particularly if you're open to branches beyond CSE or ECE and belong to a reserved category.

You should also check the specific cutoffs for these colleges once released and consider state-level entrance exams like TS EAMCET for better chances.

If you score 90 percentile in JEE Mains, there is a good chance that you can secure a seat in JNTUH or VNR VJIET, but it depends on various factors like the particular branch you are targeting, the overall competition for that year, etc. Generally, more popular branches may require a higher percentile. For a more accurate estimate, it is best to check threshold trends for the previous year.

Yes, with a 90 percentile in JEE Mains 2025, you should be able to secure a seat in both JNTUH (Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad) and VNR (VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering Technology) colleges, as this percentile generally falls within the range required for admission to most branches in these institutions.
