            Do not bother .I am pretty sure that you can get into some of the NIT s and IIITs . If you belong to northeast states you have home state reservation for the nit of your state and you may get some of the branches like textile engineering , chemical engineering , msc chemistry etc. If you are willing go join core branches you should go with IIITs . By the way I suggest you to wait until the spot round since it may helps you to get a top branch in NITs even.

Dear Aspirant, hope you are doing well. According to previous year's trends and cutoffs it is somewhat difficult to get into NITS and IIITS. If you belong to home state category of north eastern NITS like Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Sikkim then there are chances.Still wait for cutoffs to be out.  To be on safe side you can try for private colleges which accept the JEE Mains score like Nirma University, Sastra University, Thapar University, PDPU, DAIICT, etc. Hope it helps!!
