You have not mentioned which category you belong to. With a rank of around 22,000, it becomes difficult to secure a seat in the central government or state government IHM's when comparing the results of previous years. Last year, the closing ranks for central government IHM's were around 7,000 and the closing ranks for state government IHM's were around 13,000 for general category. Also, One thing to keep in mind is that scores and ranks vary each year with difficulty level of the question paper and availability of seats. However, you can apply for private institutes.
