The only way it would effect your rank is through 20 percentile consideration. 20 percentile marking is that you should outrank  80% of the students taking the examination.  20 percentile is done while considering your board marks and your JEE score. Percentile is calculated using the below formula. Basically, percentile depends on the student gravbi6ng the 1st place. 

Percentile = no. of student have marks lesser than you / total no. of students appeared in the exam X 100
