Yes, you'll have to take Mathematics in your intermediate curriculum to get admission for Economics Hons in SRCC and even for any other DU's college. Although it is not compulsory for you to include your Mathematics score in your BFS ( Best of Four Score ) but it is necessary for you to at least have passed in Mathematics in your 12th boards examination. Suppose if you want to apply for Eco Hons at DU and you didn't have Economics as a subject in your 12th grade, then there would a deduction of 2.5 from your BFS % BUT THERE IS NO DEDUCTION SCHEME FOR MATHEMATICS and it is necessary for you to have Mathematics as a subject.
