see you need to appear in josaa counselling to get admission in NITS, IIITS, GFTIS. however jee advance score is not needed to get admission in nits, iiits, gftis. for admission in iits, jee advance score is needed. you can not get admission in btech courses in iits with out appear in jee advance.  you must have the category wise cutoff score to appear in jee advance along with satisfying the  others eligibility criteria,

Candidates born on or after October 1, 1995 are only  eligible for JEE Advanced 2020. However, there is a relaxation of 5 years for SC, ST and PwD candidates (born on or after October 1, 1990).

applicants can have only consecutively  2 attempts starting from the year of passing of 12th course for jee advance .

Candidates who have been admitted in an IIT will not be eligible for JEE Advanced 2020, irrespective of whether he/she continued in the programme or not.

You will get admission in NITs based on your JEE mains score/rank.But if you want to get admission in IITs then you have to register for JEE advance and then you will have to appear for JEE advance examination and based on your score/rank in the exam you will get admission in IITs.
