I have cleared jee mains but not jee advance in 2019 to appear again for jee advance in 2020 is it necessary to clear jeemains again

Absolutely yes. You have to clear JEE mains in order to get into jee advanced. The results of JEE both mains and advanced are valid for only one year.
If you want to give advanced 2020 then you must have to clear the JEE mains 2020.
