JEE Mains exam is held yearly twice. You can apply for the exam twice. It doesn't matter whether you do it in the first attempt or the second attempt. You can give it at either of the stage. It does not matter whether you gave the exam in the first attempt.

So, do not worry and give your best in the second attempt.
