I have done my 12th with pcb but now I want to take maths also with certificate with nios for afcat flying branch . Do I have to take drop for this and tell me am I eligible for afcat flying branch?
Hello,
Yes, you are eligible for the AFCAT Flying Branch if you meet these conditions:
-
You must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics, securing at least 50% marks in each subject.
-
You must have completed graduation (minimum 3 years) from a recognised university with at least 60% marks.
Since you had PCB in 12th, you can take Mathematics as an additional subject through NIOS. NIOS is a recognised board, and its certificates are accepted. Just make sure you score at least 50% marks in Mathematics.
You don’t need to take a drop. You can study for the NIOS Mathematics exam along with your graduation. But you must complete and pass the Maths exam before applying for AFCAT.
Hope it helps !
Hello there,
Yes, you are eligible for the AFCAT Flying Branch if you fulfill certain conditions.
-
You must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics, securing at least 50% marks in each.
-
You also need a graduation degree (minimum three years) in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 60% marks or equivalent.
Since you completed 12th with PCB, you can still become eligible by taking Mathematics as an additional subject through NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling). NIOS is a recognized board, and its certificates are accepted for educational qualification.
There is no need to take a drop year. You can:
-
Continue your graduation.
-
Simultaneously enroll in NIOS and appear for the Mathematics examination.
-
Ensure you score at least 50% in Mathematics in the NIOS exam.
Make sure you complete both graduation and NIOS Mathematics requirements before applying. Also, ensure you meet the age, medical, and physical fitness standards required for the Flying Branch as per the official AFCAT guidelines.
I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, feel free to share your questions with us, and we will be happy to assist you.
