You cannot change your name once if you have submitted the online GATE application form. No requests to change the name will be entertained. And the authorities will only check the errors such as errors in photograph, signature, category certificate, photo identity etc. They will not verify your personal details that's why you were not informed about the mistake in name.It is your responsibility to check the details before final submission. You cannot do anything about this, if the details are incorrect then your candidature will get cancelled.
