i have given exam from sebc and my marksheet too have sebc bu on cap they put me on open Even though i submitted all documents
Hii,
In state CAP category status (like SEBC) is verified very strictly. Even if your marksheet shows SEBC, they also need a valid non-creamy layer certificate and either your gazetted caste certificate or a certificate issued by a competent authority with the correct validity dates. If there was any discrepancy like an expired certificate, a mismatch in name or date, or improperly vetted document they may default you to the Open category. What you can do now is file a grievance or correction request at the help desk or regional admission centre, submit any corrected or missing documentation, and request re-verification. If everything’s valid, they sometimes update the category in the next phase.
Thank you!
If your marksheet and supporting documents clearly show your SEBC (Socially and Educationally Backward Class) category, but your CAP (Centralized Admission Process) round shows you in the open category, it may be due to document verification issues or technical errors. Make sure your caste certificate is valid and not expired. You can also contact the helpdesk of the CAP authority or raise a grievance through the official portal. Keep all your documents scanned and ready while raising the issue.
