Hope you are doing well!! Now JEE-Main exam is conducted twice a year. You can appear either in both sessions or in any one session.
There is no any dependency of marks scored in previous attempt.
Best of the two scores will be taken for final result.
Suppose if you have not scored good percentile in January session then you have chance to improve your percentile in April session.

There is no relation between January JEE main and April JEE main. 4 April JEE mains you have to fill the application form when the dates were released. Last date to fill the application form for JEE main 2020 for April is 6 March 2020. If you want to give the JEE main April exam then you need to fill the application form. You need to fill the form and then only you will be able to give the exam.
