I have got 73%marks in cbse and if I want to be able to get selected in NITs . Then in how many subjects I have to give improvement exam

Hello,

Since you don't have an aggregate of 75 percentage in CBSE class 12th boards and considering that you are a general category student, you are not eligible for admission in NITs or IITs. So, if you are planning to take the improvement examination conducted by CBSE next year, then you can take the examination in either one subject or two subjects or three subjectsor all the five subjects, it is completely upto you. What matters the most is that after taking the improvement examination, your aggregate percentage should be at least 75 percentage.
