I have missed the application date for JEE Mains. Is it possible to apply for it now on or after 17th Oct 2018 ?

JEE Main application form date is over now for January Exam, You can apply for the next session which will held in the month of April, The application form is expected from the second week of Feb. You can check the further information with the given below link.

The application procedure for the exam to be held in January is over as of now.
You can now apply for the exam to be held in April.The availability of the application form online will be from 8th Feb,2019.
