I have opted for ews category during jee main.In adv portal they mentioned that it should be submitted before June 5. Is itonly foradv/both?

Hi hanumath ! Whatever you will submit on 5th June is for both advance and main because your rank in main and eligibility for advanced will be confirmed at that time only. Also you are doing it in advance portal so it is applicable for both main and advanced. So best of luck!

Then what is the situation of persons who opted for ews for mains itself and not applied for advanced ..? They do not get advanced portal to upload the certificates....

I didn't understand ? What is the situation of persons those who applied only for mains ? They have to submit at the time of counselling ? They can't use the site without registration no. Of advanced na ? (Since they not applied ) how can they upload certificates
