I have passed 10th with 70% and I want to became a psycologyist , so I'm taking science stream (PCB) i wnat to know that which subjects should i take in 11th and 12th for achiving my goal ?
To become a psychologist, you should continue your education by taking the humanities stream in 11th and 12th, with Psychology as one of your subjects. While a science background (PCB) can be beneficial for understanding the physiological aspects of psychology, a humanities stream is more directly aligned with the field.
Should you have concluded 10th with 70% and want to pursue psychology, select the science stream with PCB, though this isn’t the only alternative. Although Psychology is mainly offered in the Arts or Humanities, many colleges also recognize it for science students.
Now, these are the steps you can follow.
Make sure you do well in Biology and English as part of your Class 12 studies.
Following your 12th grade, join a bachelor’s program in psychology. You can study either BA or BSc, so decide on the one that suits you best and your college offers.
Once you have graduated, you should consider taking an MA/MSc in Psychology or Applied Psychology.
Later on, you are able to work in clinical, counselling or organizational psychology.
Qualification – You can only qualify as a Clinical Psychologist if you have an M.Phil in Clinical Psychology from an RCI-recognized institute.
If you have PCB and keep up your studies, you can become a psychologist. Be mindful to plan your future studies correctly.
