New: Paramedical Universities Accepting Applications | Emversity Allied Health Sciences Programs
Hi,
Its a difficult yet not impossible task.
Being a pcm branch student till 12th standard doesn't allow you to sit in the neet examination.
But yes, if you really wants to go for mbbs/bds/any medical field for your higher studies then you can opt biology as a course through private or nios boards.
According to different eligibility criterias of neet, nios or private board students are also eligible for neet exams.
The details of this are as-
NEET examination code 2:
Candidates who have completed a period of 12 years under Higher/Secondary examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE), which is equivalent to Class 10+2 can opt code 2. However, the last two years of study must include English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology or Mathematics or any other elective as a major subject as prescribed by the National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT). Aspirants who have passed 10+2 from National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) or state open school, as a private candidate from state boards; with Biology/Biotechnology as an additional subject can apply under NEET qualification code 2.
Who can also apply code 2: It should also be noted that the qualifying examination code for NEET 2020 for droppers will also be the same. For instance, a candidate has passed qualifying examination from CBSE/ISCE or any state board in the year 2018, but wish to appear for NEET 2020, he/she can apply for the exam with Code 2.
