I have scored 88% in the Class 12th examinations. Will I be able to get admission in Btech in any reputed college? Have heard that Thapar University have changed the criteria for admissions. Can anyone please let me know the revised criteria?
Hey, there are good chances that you may get a good college for B Tech. But I would say that it is preferable to have a good score in JEE as well. As most good colleges consider JEE as a priority. But still 88% is fantastic and would really be sufficient to get into a good college.
The Thapar University Revised Criteria are as follows.
i. Student has passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with at least 70% marks (65% for SC/ST candidates) in aggregate of three subjects, namely, Physics, Mathematics and any one subject out of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology and Technical Vocational subject* OR Minimum 70% (65% for SC/ST candidates) marks in a Diploma recognized by AICTE or a state board of technical education of at least 3-year duration.
ii. possesses a good moral character.
iii. is a citizen of India. iv. has passed 10+2 examination in 2018, 2019 or appearing in 2020.
Desirable: The candidate has appeared in JEE (Main)- 2020.
