I have small spelling mistake in my ews and income certificates but my certificates are verified under ap eapcet counselling process. Do I have any problem during self reporting at the alloted college
Hi Good Afternoon,
If there is a small spelling mistake in your EWS and Income certificates but they are already verified during the AP EAPCET counselling process, generally it should not create a major problem during self-reporting at the allotted college. Once your certificates are verified by the counselling authority, it means they have accepted your documents as valid for admission purposes. Minor spelling errors, like a small difference in the name or a missing letter, are usually considered non-critical as long as the details like your Aadhaar number, date of birth, and other identification details match correctly.
During self-reporting at the allotted college, the college mainly checks the verification status and the allotment letter from the counselling portal. They rely on the confirmation provided by the counselling authority. However, it is always safer to carry supporting documents like Aadhaar card, 10th certificate, and any other proof that shows your correct name or details. This will help you clarify the mistake immediately if the college staff asks.
If the spelling mistake is very minor and has already been accepted by the verification officials, there should be no hurdle in your admission process. But if you want to be extra cautious, you can also apply for a corrected version of the certificate for future use. Overall, since your certificates are verified and accepted in counselling, your admission is safe, and self-reporting at the college should not be a problem.
Hello Divya,
If you have already verified your EWS and income certificates during the AP EAPCET counselling stage, then the minor spelling error (for example, a misspelling of your name or parent’s name) should not create an issue during self-reporting at your allotted college. By all means bring an affidavit or letter of clarification if the spelling error is substantial or if you anticipate confusion arising. Remember to keep your original documents and verification slip for smooth processing.
Hii,
If your certificate was already verified during AP EAPCET counselling, a small typo likely won’t cause trouble at self-reporting. Colleges generally rely on the verification stamp rather than re-checking spelling. However, bring the original certificate along with a written note or affidavit explaining the mistake, and if possible, a letter from the issuing authority confirming it's authentic. Keep a scanned copy of the counselling verification slip handy too.
Thank you!
Hello!
So, If your EWS and Income certificates have already been verified successfully during the AP EAPCET counselling, and the spelling mistake is minor like a small typo mistake then it will not cause any problem during your self reporting at the allotted college.
For safer side you can Carry an affidavit explaining the mistake,If the authority say something than you can show them the affidavit.
