i have taken physics, chemistry and biology as subjects in 12th and no maths, but my KCET admit card shows maths also, do i have to take maths exam also..
Hello,
KCET admit cards list all papers, but you only need to sit for exams you registered. Since you opted for Physics, Chemistry and Biology, you must appear for those three and can skip Mathematics. The Maths slot on your admit card doesn’t obligate you to take that test. However, confirm your chosen subjects in the KEA portal or call their helpdesk before the exam to avoid any possible last minute issues.
Hope this helps you,
Thank you
Yes, even if you haven't taken Mathematics in 12th, you likely still need to take the Mathematics portion of the KCET exam. KCET evaluates students in both Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) for engineering courses, and Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) for medical and agricultural courses. The decision of whether to take Mathematics or Biology depends on the chosen course. Since your admit card shows Mathematics, it's likely you're applying for an engineering course that requires it.
Elaboration:
KCET Exam Structure: KCET evaluates students based on their knowledge of Physics, Chemistry, and either Mathematics or Biology.
Engineering Courses: For engineering courses, Mathematics is a compulsory subject.
Medical and Agricultural Courses: For medical and agricultural courses, Biology is a compulsory subject.
Admit Card: The presence of Mathematics on your admit card suggests that you are applying for an engineering course that requires Mathematics.
