Your attempt gets counted only when you appear for the examination.
Since you are not appearing for the examination this year, your attempt will not be considered.

No bro don't get so much paniced the NEET examination attempt is only counted if you have appeared so since you are not mentally prepared to give the NEET examination this year it alright you give in the next to next year and listen that attempt will be considered as your first attempt for your NEET examination.

Hi Chirag Gupta,

No, its not mandatory to appear for NEET this year and you would not loss any chance too.

You will be provided a total of 3 chances, no matter when you are appearing for NEET. If you do not appear for neet this year, your chance will remain 3 and your first chance is calculated only when you appear for NEET for the very first time.

But According to my views, you should have to appear in NEET this year too as you will be experianced by it and becomes familiar with the syllabus and level of exam.

Hope this might helps you.

All the Best.

Hello dear ,

Candidates for NEET will get 3 attempts from now on.

If a person who has given NEET 2017 and is going to appear in NEET 2018 , 1st attempt will be counted from 2018 NEET.

And if you aren't going to appear in NEET 2018 then 1st attempt will be counted from 2019 .

Good luck
Thanks

Hii Chirag, There is no such rule that u should apply for neet this year itself..Whenever u write NEET UG gor the first time that will be counted as ur first attempt..So dont worry..prepare well for the next year and score good marks...all the very best to u !!

No obviously it won't count .
They only count the paper in which u appear .

Hello Chirag, As per your query i would like to tell you as per NEET rules and regulations the first attempt is the one in which you register for NEET.

If you don't want to give NEET in 2018 in your 12th class definitely your attempt will not be counted. It will only be counted when you fill the form..

Hope it helps.

Hey hi,

The count on NEET is based on how many times you give the exam. If you didn't give NEET this year, it won't be counted and your attempt is nil.

My suggestion is that if you have prepared well you can give NEET as your board will be in march and NEET is in may.

But the final decision is yours.
