I suggest you to work hard and appear in JEE mains April exam, 36 percentile is not good and you will not be able to get a good college.
But if you study hard, be strict and loyal towards yourself you can surely achieve your desired goal.
You can also take a drop and prepare hard for mains, this way you can prepare for mains and you will be able to figure out what exactly you want to do. Following your passion will definately lead you towards success. You just need to be determined and i believe, you will come up with flying colors.
