It is a job oriented vocational course. The academic program revolves around food processing and its allied areas. This academic program is also known as B.Voc. Food Processing and Preservation. Food processing is a multidisciplinary field. It consists of elements of chemistry, technology, dairy technology and biology.Food processing deals with activities such as – sourcing and acquiring raw materials (fruits, vegetables etc), food processing systems, processes, relevant equipment, dairy products, fruits and vegetable processing, chemistry, biology, packaging and marketing, storage and transportation techniques etc. it's a 3 years course and for which a candidate should have passed the 12th.
