Hello, BTech in Engineering Physics is indeed offered by NIT Calicut for students who have an interest in both engineering and physics. If you have interest in both physics and mathematics and have a Flair for research, then you will do very well here.
Only 30 seats are available at this prestigious institution. So you need really good marks to get admission here.
According to last year's cutoffs, you need 18783 closing rank for home state quota in general category and 14913 in other state quota for general category to get into this course.
For 2017, it was 28880 for home state quota in general category and 16138 other state quota in general category                                                                                                              
Since you have scored 167 in JEE Mains you will get about 18300+ rank, with which you can easily get admission to NIT Calicut on the basis of home state quota (general category).
