If you belong to general category, you can get colleges like Burdwan Medical College, Burdwan, Calcutta National Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata, College of Medicine and Sagar Dutta Hospital Kamarhati. No chance of admission in RG Kar or SSKM?

RG kar had a closing rank of around 15,500 in 2018 for the general candidates. You probably won't get admission there.

I ask this cause previous year the rank was 18k which is pretty close to my rank. Is there a chance that the closing rank goes down any further than previous year?

Well even if the cutoff goes down, it shouldn't go down that much. But still, don't keep national college as a preference. keep burdawan college after that as it is the next best college according to your rank.
