The shortlisting criteria for IIMs also depends on your past academic records, Work experience and other factors like graduation stream, diversity etc.
In your case, if your graduation/post graduation stream is non-engineering and the academic performance in 10th, 12th and grads is good, there are chances that you may get shortlisted for the WAT-PI round of new IIMs which is called as the CAP round which is jointly conducted by all the new and newer IIMs.
