Yes you're right NDA is not the only option to join Indian Army or Indian Defense Forces. There plenty more options and exams by which you can join Indian Defense Forces like CDS, UES, TGC and for AFCAT for Indian Air Force and plenty more exams are there to join the Forces.

Yes you can also join BSF, CRPF, Punjab Police they are also very good to as they are the paramilitary forces do the country.

You can also join Merchant Navy it also has a very good career prospect.
