To get admission in BHU you have to clear an entrance exam which is UET and it is conducted between May and June.

Well, to get admission in B.Mus here are some eligibility criteria which candidates have to fulfil:

1. Candidates have to pass in 10 +2 board exam, Graduation or Post graduation with vocal, instrumental music or dance like Bharatnatyam or Kathak as one of the subjects.

2. It is necessary for candidates to score minimum 50% of marks in Music practical or Dance practical.

3. Once any candidate took admission in BHU will not be eligible to take admission simultaneously in any other college.

4.  If you don't had the any of the above subject course you should have passed any of the following examinations:

(a) Senior Diploma Exam. of the Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad.

(b) Madhyama Exam. of the Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapeeth, Lucknow.

(c) Madhyama in Music Exam. of Madhya Pradesh Govt., M.P.

(d) Madhyama Exam. of A.B.G.M.V. Mandal, Mumbai.

(e) Madhyama Exam. of Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalay, Khairagarh. (For Dance only)

(f) Part time Diploma Exam. of five years of Kalakshetra, Chennai.

(g) Senior Certificate Course issued under the auspices of Tamilnadu Govt.

(h) Fifth year of Five-Year Diploma of Bharatiya Nritya Mandir, Patna.
