It is a study of designs, maintenance and system of aircrafts. There is a lot of scope of Aeronautical engineering (AE) in India in govt organisations mainly for defence, private MNCs and NASA.
The basic eligibility criteria is to clear class 12th from a recognised board in science stream.
The colleges to pursue UG in AE are:

- Hiet chennai

The popular entrance exams for ug & pg are:
Kcet, gate, jee mains, comedk uget, etc.

Hello Aspirant,
You can pursue Aeronautical engineering through IITs and NITs, for which you have to clear JEE Mains and JEE Advanced exams with good score.
IIST is also a very good choice if you wanna pursue Aerospace Engineering, it offers admission on the basis of JEE Advanced scores.
