Well, for a course like Journalism, it's great if you can pursue it full-time, since it's not just about learning theoretical aspect of this course of study, but there is practical applications as well. One needs to earn experiences in real life as well for being a journalist, whether you work in print, web or electronic medium. Also, unlike any other course for that matter at undergraduate level offered by distance universities, Journalism concerns people and interactions at large base.

If you want you can go ahead with your choice, as long as the course and university is recognized, but make sure you earn work experience on your own by doing internships in your field, this will add a great value to your CV.
