Hello there,

Yes, it is possible to join ITI (Industrial Training Institute) even if your marks are low. Admission to ITI courses is generally not highly competitive , and most ITIs accept students based on basic eligibility , which is usually:

  1. Minimum qualification : Pass in Class 8, 10, or 12 depending on the trade.

  2. Age : Usually between 14 to 40 years .

  3. Merit-based : Some states prepare a merit list based on Class 10 marks, but many ITIs take students with low marks as well.

    What You Can Do:

  • Apply to government and private ITIs in your state.

  • Choose trades that are less competitive (like Fitter, Welder, Electrician, etc.) if your marks are very low.

  • Check the official website of your state’s Directorate of Employment and Training (DET) for eligibility and application details.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, feel free to share your questions with us, and we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.
