It was formed with a primary aim to impart education in all aspects including literary, scientific and technical under national control. Raja Subodh Chandra Mallik, Brajendra Kishore Roychowdhury of Gouripur, Sir Rash Bihari Gosh, poet Rabindranath Tagore and Sri Aurobindo Ghosh played a crucial role in the establishment of NCE.

The drawback of this Colleges is that this College famous for politicals but you can join politics not effect your study.
