To become eligible for UPSC, you must complete graduation. Since you don’t want to write compartment, here are the options:

1. You can take admission in a diploma course after Class 10, and later use lateral entry to join a degree program.

2. You can also appear for open schooling 12th exam from NIOS or any other recognized board, then take admission in graduation.

Without clearing 12th or an equivalent, you cannot directly do a degree. So either diploma+degree route or open school+degree route is required.

Thank you!

Since you failed in class 12 CBSE maths, you won’t be considered a pass candidate until you clear that subject. Without passing class 12, you cannot directly take admission in a degree course, which is mandatory for UPSC eligibility. A diploma alone will not make you eligible for UPSC, you must hold a recognized bachelor’s degree. The best option is to clear the compartment exam in maths and then move ahead with graduation. That way, you will not face any eligibility issues later for UPSC.
