Hello aspirant,
With 383 marks in NEET 2025 and being from Uttar Pradesh, your chances for MBBS in government colleges are low, but you do stand a fair chance for BDS (Dental) and BAMS (Ayurveda) in semi-government or government AYUSH colleges, especially under the OBC/SC/ST quota, if applicable. For BDS, states like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh sometimes offer government or government-aided dental seats around the 370–400 mark in later rounds or mop-up counselling. Similarly, for BAMS, many government AYUSH colleges across states like Uttarakhand, MP, Haryana, and Karnataka offer seats in this score range, especially under the state quota.

You should definitely apply for UP state counselling and consider registering for other state counselling where open state quota is allowed. Your chances improve if you keep AYUSH and dental preferences open and actively participate in mop-up and stray vacancy rounds.

With a NEET score of 383, your chances of getting into a government or semi-government dental or Ayurveda college in Uttar Pradesh or other states through the State Quota (85%) are likely limited, especially for top colleges. However, there might be some opportunities for admission to BAMS (Ayurveda) programs in government-aided colleges, or through the management quota in private institutions.

Dental (BDS):

Government Colleges: With a score of 383, securing a seat in a government dental college is improbable, as the expected cutoff for even SC/ST categories in government colleges for BDS is generally higher than 380 marks.

Private Colleges: A score of 383 might be sufficient for admission to private dental colleges. The expected NEET cutoff for private BDS colleges ranges from 150 to 400 for reserved categories and 200 to 350 for OBC candidates.

Ayurveda (BAMS):

Government Colleges: For the OBC category, the expected NEET score range for securing a seat in a government BAMS college is between 400 and 550. While your score falls below this range, your chances may improve under the 85% State Quota, particularly in less competitive colleges or in later rounds of counseling.

Private Colleges: Private BAMS colleges usually have lower cutoffs compared to government colleges. Your score of 383 is within the expected range for the OBC category in private BAMS colleges, which is between 380 and 480.

Government-Aided Colleges: Government-aided Ayurvedic colleges also offer BAMS seats, with approximately 1,410 seats available nationwide in 2025. Your score might be considered for admission in these colleges as well.

In Uttar Pradesh:

State Quota: Focus on the Uttar Pradesh State Quota for both dental and Ayurveda colleges, as this will give you better chances compared to the All India Quota.

Last Round of Counseling: Some candidates with scores around 300 have secured BAMS seats in government colleges in Uttar Pradesh during later counseling rounds in previous years.

Private Colleges: Explore private BAMS colleges in Uttar Pradesh that may accept candidates with a score of 383.

Other States:

Consider States with Lower Competition: Some states have lower cut-offs for reserved categories in BAMS. States like Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and West Bengal might offer some limited opportunities for BDS as well.

State Quota: You can apply for the 85% state quota seats in these states as well.

Important Notes:

Official Cutoff: The official NEET 2025 cutoff has been released by NTA along with the results. The cutoffs mentioned in the search results are based on expectations and previous years' trends, so they are not guaranteed to be exact.

Counseling: Participate actively in the state counseling process to explore your options.

Management Quota: If government or government-aided options are limited, consider applying to private colleges through the management quota, which might have lower cutoff marks.

Counseling Experts: Consult with experienced career counselors or education experts specializing in NEET counseling for personalized guidance.

In summary, with a NEET score of 383, securing a government BDS seat may be difficult. However, you might have chances for BDS or BAMS admission in private colleges or government-aided colleges in Uttar Pradesh or other states, especially under the state quota. It's recommended to explore these options and participate actively in the counseling process.
