Solution : The relation between men and the number of days is given by:
$M_{1} D_{1} = M_{2} D_{2}$
Where $M_{1}$ and $M_{2}$ are men and $D_{1}$ and $D_{2}$ are days.
According to the question,
$25 \times 140 = 70 \times M_{2}$
$\Rightarrow M_{2} = \frac{(25 \times 140)}{70}$
$\Rightarrow M_{2} = 25 \times 2 = 50$ men
∴ 50 men will be required to complete the work in 70 days.
Hence, the correct answer is 50.
