Hii,
If you passed Class 12th in the first attempt, and later appeared for improvement/betterment but failed in Chemistry, your original mark sheet from the first attempt remains valid and accepted everywhere.
The betterment marks are optional they’re only used if the improved marks are better than the original. But if you performed worse like failing in a subject, it doesn’t replace your first result. So don’t worry, your original 12th pass certificate is completely valid for higher education, jobs, or competitive exams.
Hope that clears your confusion!
marksheet from the first attempt where the student passed all subjects will be considered valid. Since they already passed Chemistry in the first try, failing in the second attempt for betterment won’t affect their original pass status. For future admissions or job applications, the original marksheet where all subjects were cleared will be accepted.
Let us suppose a student passes a student passes Class 12th in the first attempt and later appears for a betterment exam in Chemistry but unfortunately fails. in such a case, the marks obtained in the betterment exam will not replace the original marks, since betterment is only meant to improve the score. If a student fails in the betterment exam, the the result of the attempt (which is already a pass) remains valid.
Therefore the original class 12th marksheet from the first attempt will continue to be the official and valid certificate for all future academic and professional purpose. College, universities and institution consider the better score between the two attempts, and in this case, the first one is better because the student passed.
So, students can confidently use their first attempt marksheet for applications without any concerns. Feel free to ask if you have more doubts. All the best!
