first you should know compartment exam are for those students who have failed in either one subject or in max of two subjects, if student fails in three or more subjects then only you will be declared as failed one , no fail students are eligible to appear in compartment exam , what fail students can do is they have to repeat a year again in order to get yourself passed.

talking about marksheet then in case of repeating the year you will be getting two marksheet one is your failed one and another one of your repeated year.
